Collection

Where possible, The Room ADL Pilates will generally collect your personal information directly from you. However, we may also need to collect information from other sources such as your treating doctor, specialists, and other health care providers. This information includes your name, address, date of birth, gender, health / medical information, and contact details. We collect information in various ways, such as over the phone or in writing, in person in the studio or over the internet if you transact with us online. We may also collect personal information from MINDBODY Online Inc., our centralised online booking system or in emergency situations from your relatives or friends.

Use and Disclosure

We respect your privacy and personal information and will never share any of your information with anyone else without your permission. All personal information you share in the context of your class / appointment is strictly confidential. If you are working with us to rehabilitate an injury or medical condition, we may communicate with other fitness, allied health, relevant staff or medical professionals with your prior consent.
We will only disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act. This means that personal information may be disclosed:


– For the purposes for which we have advised that we are collecting it and for related purposes that the individual would reasonably expect.
– Where we have the consent of the individual to do so.

The Room ADL Pilates takes reasonable steps to protect personal information it holds from misuse, interference, and loss and from unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Personal information may be stored on our computer medical records system, centralised online booking system and secured paper-based assessments.
Personal information will be managed confidentially and securely and destroyed appropriately when no longer required. We will monitor and implement appropriate technical advances or management processes to safeguard personal information.
