Pelvic Physio
We offer pelvic health physiotherapy for women and people assigned female at birth (AFAB), addressing a wide range of pelvic health concerns such as pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, prolapse, bladder or bowel issues, sexual pain or dysfunction, and antenatal or postpartum care.
Your initial consultation involves a detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors, followed by a thorough assessment. This may include observing posture, pelvic alignment, core and hip strength, muscle coordination, and functional movement patterns. With your informed consent, internal vaginal or rectal examinations may be performed to evaluate pelvic floor muscle function, tone, and strength, though these are always optional.
Based on your assessment, we’ll develop a personalised treatment plan to address your pelvic concerns. This may include targeted pelvic floor exercises, manual therapy, education on bladder and bowel management, guidance on safe movement and exercise, breathing and core strategies, and lifestyle modifications to reduce symptoms and improve function.
